SMK Singai project handed over to JKR

SMK Singai was suppose to be completed this year, but the project has been delayed, and further handed over to the Works Department for management after it was found out that the current contractor is not capable to finish the project in time.

Despite the bad news, there is a silver lining for the school project as it was also announced that the school multipurpose hall and sports facility has been restored into the drawing plans. Both facilities were scrapped from the project due to lack of funds.

Aside from restoring the original plan, the school has also been enlarged to cater for some 1,000 students, an increase of 200 from the previous plan.

SMK Singai is expected to be ready by next year and is said to be 50 percent completed.
