STB to continue promoting Sarawak’s “Adventure in Conservation”

KUCHING: Sarawak Tourism Board will continue to feature “Adventure in Conservation” as the key selling point for its tourism promotion at the eighth edition of ITB Asia 2015 which will be held at held at Marina Bay Sands Exhibition & Convention Centre in Singapore beginning Wednesday until Friday, October 24.

The conservation programme to be highlighted are design to enhance understanding of tropical ecosystems, wildlife and biodiversity as well as to raise awareness on the environment and conservation in Sarawak to potential buyers at the industry business session.

The eco-tourism packages offered consists of unique and totally hands-on educational programs, eco-tours and wildlife encounters.

In its bid to increase awareness of Sarawak’s niche products, Sarawak Tourism Board will also highlight the Meetings, Incentives, Conventions and Exhibitions (MICE) sector alongside with the Sarawak Convention Bureau.

Joining STB to promote Sarawak at ITB Asia are the Sarawak Convention Bureau and eleven members of the Travel industry including travel agents, product owners and hotels from Kuching, Sibu and Miri.

While in the City State, the Sarawak travel partners met their Singapore counterparts at a business session this afternoon.

ITB Asia is organise by Messe Berlin (Singapore) Pte Ltd in cooperation with Singapore Tourism Board that enables all tourism partners to gain deeper insights into the Asian travel network with business networking sessions with partners from the region.

This annual travel and tourism business meeting and is a renowned trade event in the region that contribute to the development of global tourism and in the advancement of the tourism sector in Asia and the Pacific.

The event features more than 500 exhibiting companies from Asia Pacific region with 8,000 trade attendees from 90 countries from Europe, Middle East, USA and Africa.
